Drum Dryeris an indirectly heated continuous drying model. Material, forming a layer of uniform material film in the heat transfer surface, is dried with the rotating drum and powder or flake products are unloaded at the discharging point by scrapers. Special deigned spreader makes the material film uniform and adjustable in thickness. It is applicable to viscous, pasty and sticky materials. Due to the short retention time of the product at high temperature, virtually no heat damage will occur. Comparing with the direct drying method, which uses hot air for drying; the drum dryer does not need any powder separation device. There is no heat taking away by exhaust gas. The operation cost is very low.

1. Multi-compression Rollers Distribution
Equipped with several compression rollers on the outer surface of the drum, the clearance between the compression rollers and drum surface make it easy to adjust the quantity of compression roller and regulate the thickness of material film. According to the number of applicator rolls used, the layer formed on the drying drum is thicker or thinner. This special construction of material distribution is especially applicable to processing pasty or gruel-like materials, such as a-starch, baby food, potato chips or fruit slice, etc.
